The MK5238 is the chip set to provide all functions for charge / discharge controlling, monitoring and protecting systems, ( Analog Front End IC : ML5238, Controller IC : ML610Q486P ). The MK5238 provides the functions of detecting over-charge /over-discharge of each battery cell, cell balancing, detecting charge/discharge over-current, detecting high/low temperature, indicating battery remaining capacity, and other functions. With this chip set, 5 to 16 cell battery pack protection system that has such functions is built easily.
